On a lovely fall afternoon I walked through the iron gates of a former Presbyterian church in West Philadelphia - it was an active church when I lived and worked in West Philadelphia - and spent two hours sitting in a wooden pew listening to the Nutcracker music and watching the University of Pennsylvania Ballet Company dance.
